How to wash hands with soap and water?

Germs and viruses can be spread through contact with the hands, so it is very important to wash your hands regularly with soap and water to prevent the spread of disease. This is part of what we call “barrier gestures”.

When should you wash your hands?

As soon as you touch something potentially contaminated, dirty, your hands can carry viruses and germs. And they shouldn't get inside your body.

You must of course wash your hands when leaving the toilet.

You should therefore wash your hands before touching your face or before preparing a meal, for example.

When you come to take public transport, or even your car, you should wash your hands when arriving at your home or office so as not to contaminate the objects there.

What is the proper way to wash your hands?

Take a dose of liquid soap and soap your hands for 10 seconds, then rub your hands from the palm to the back, interlacing the fingers.

Rub the backs of the hands together, then the backs of the fingers against the palm of the opposite hand.

Then rub each finger of each hand against the palm of the opposite hand.

Rinse your hands under running water without touching it, then dry your hands.
