Evacuate: what is the role of the leading fire warden?

In France there are more than 300,000 fires per year, or more than 800 per day. Having to evacuate a building because of a fire is therefore an event that can most likely occur in your professional life.

What are the evacuation rules in case of fire?

This is why the evacuation of a building follows strict rules and instructions which must be applied in order to avoid tragedies. Some employees have a well-defined role and must ensure that the evacuation takes place properly while waiting for help to arrive.

This is particularly the case of the guide leader, who must lead the way and show the way to the exit. We detail its role in this video.

And contrary to what one might think at first glance, it is not the flames that kill the most in fires, but the toxic fumes given off by combustion.

What is the fire evacuation training ?

A fire has broken out, the red manual call point activates the alarm. Identify the path to follow for evacuation.

Go to the emergency exit and press the green manual call point to open the door.

Guide employees.

Ensure that the evacuation takes place in a calm manner.

Don't take the elevator, don't run, don't go back!
