How to confine safely?

Life in confinement increases the risk of everyday accidents.

What is the main cause of infant mortality?

Accidents in everyday life are responsible for more than 50 deaths per day. It is the 3rd cause of death in France, and the 1st in children. In addition to the 20,000 deaths per year, accidents in everyday life are responsible for more than 5 million emergency room visits and several hundred thousand hospitalizations per year.

What is an accident in everyday life?

According to the official definition found on the government website, "Accidents of daily living (AC-VC) are defined as "unintentional injuries" that occur in a domestic setting (at home, or in its immediate surroundings) or outdoors (in a store, on a sidewalk...), in a school setting, during sports activities, etc.". This definition excludes traffic accidents and accidents at work".

To avoid drama, we remind you in this video some rules and safety gestures at home. Children and the elderly are particularly exposed to domestic accidents.

What are the gestures to avoid an accident?

Protect the children :

Do not leave electric cables lying around, do not put furniture in front of windows, do not leave hot dishes and liquids within reach of small children.

Put a barrier at the top and bottom of the stairs.

Do not obstruct the door to get out quickly in case of problems.

Prevent the electrical risk :

Do not connect too many appliances to a power strip, do not suffocate an electrical appliance, do not crush the cables under a piece of furniture.

Do not work in the bath with an appliance connected!
