Being visible on the road
There were more than 70,000 people injured on the roads in France in 2019.
This figure is not inevitable, road accidents have been decreasing for several years thanks to changes in the highway code, awareness campaigns that make drivers aware of the dangers, and improved vehicle safety.
But there is still room for improvement. By making yourself more visible and always having good visibility in front of you. To ensure everyone's safety on the roads, good visibility behind the wheel is essential. Everything or almost everything happens through vision while driving. In fact, 90% of the information needed to drive is visual. Poor visibility can reduce your responsiveness and reflexes in the face of danger.
For car drivers, position lights must be turned on, even in broad daylight, to be seen from a distance. A dirty and dusty windshield greatly diminishes visibility, especially in the sun, as does dust, which can blind.
For two-wheelers, the windshield is replaced by the helmet visor. But it remains the same principle: a dirty visor is dangerous. To be seen, motorcyclists and scooter riders must wear reflective stripes and turn their lights on.
